¡Viva Arroba!
Red Alert! Today’s wine is very highly recommended.
A big Welcome Back to the budget-minded Deerfield Ranch 2010 “@” Merlot. This is a wine that drinks above its price class - making it a real steal. This wine is flavorful, bright and a real food-friendly marvel. Stock up for your next BBQ… or Tuesday night pasta fest!
We’ve been featuring the fabulous wines of Deerfield since 2008. In that time, we’ve come to know and love not only the great wines of Deerfield, but also its people.
Winemaker Robert Rex is one of the warmest, most jovial winemakers we’ve met. The rest of the Deerfield crew are fabulous as well, of course. We’re proud to have featured them these last 8 years and we look forward to the next 8.
Today’s Deerfield 2010 “@” Merlot is very fragrant and full on the nose, with aromas of spiced cherry, black cherry candy, blackberry preserve, spice box, cedar, toasty oak and a hint of black pepper.
Bold flavors cascade across the palate, with spiced cherry hard candy, blackberry compote, black cherry reduction, dried fall leaves, dusty bramble, spice box, subtle tobacco leaf and subtle black pepper.
The @ or ‘Arroba’ label is Deerfield’s covert second label. These wines are built to deliver terrific value at a low price. Reserve yours soon, as our Deerfield wines regularly sell out before day’s end…
