Olivia Brion 2013 Heron Lake Vineyard Wild Horse Valley Chardonnay

last year's White of the Year
New Vintage: A worthy successor to

Mission Codename Couldn't drag me away

In 2016, the prior vintage of today’s wine won our Operative’s Choice Award for Top White Wine of the Year. Because you loved that wine so much, we placed an advance reservation on the 2014 vintage - before it was even released.

We nabbed a nice allocation, but please be sure to reserve some soon. We don’t have enough for everyone.

We think that this 2013 vintage is even more compelling and intriguing than the 2012 vintage, which is really saying something. Our entire tasting panel adores this wine and we’re certain that you will, too.

This wine is mystical and magical on the nose (no kidding!), with aromas of lemon cake, freshly baked challah, white peach, toasted hazelnut, soft white spice and very subtle savory herb.

On the palate? What a delight! With flavors of green apple, brioche, lemon curd, white peach, nectarine, Meyer lemon, subtle butterscotch, fresh fennel, soft oak and very subtle spice and dried herbs.

Highly recommended.
