The Nose Knows
In the last decade, we’ve shown Saddleback wines dozens of times. We keep going back for more because their wines are so darn great.
Because you love great white wines in Summer or Fall, today we’ve chosen the fresh and fun Saddleback Cellars 2015 Oakville Estate Pinot Blanc, a wonderful wine that’s a real steal!
Oooh, that nose! This wine bursts with lemon curd, creamed honey, butterscotch, pineapple, yellow peach, subtle spice and a hint of pear.
Creamy and delicious on the palate, with flavors of lemon curd, crème brûlée, orange blossom, very subtle white spice and a hint of dried orange peel.
Winemaker Nils Venge is the first American winemaker to have garnered a perfect 100 point score. That was back in 1985, when Robert Parker gave Nils’ Groth Cabernet the score that would rocket Nils to winemaking stardom. Nils continues his winning streak with today’s fresh, fun, and fabulous Estate Pinot Blanc.
Please visit soon though, because our allocation is modest - and expected to be very popular. And because you love great wine!
