This golden wine is bright and fresh on the nose with Meyer lemon, caramel, orange blossom, lime leaf, lemon curd, nectarine, pineapple and soft white spice.
On the palate, it is bright and expressive, with flavors of Meyer lemon, lime leaf, orange peel, apricot, pineapple, acacia flower, quince and very subtle white spice.
Our Operatives love the wines of Anderson’s Conn Valley. Those that have been read in know that this prolific winery produces today’s boutique sister label, Eagles Trace, whose wines are small production and highly prized.
Eagle’s Trace was founded by Gus & Phyllis Anderson, of Anderson’s Conn Valley fame. When Gus retired from Conn Valley at age 72, he started up Eagle’s Trace with his wife, his son Art, and Art’s wife. The new winery allowed the family team to experiment and make bold choices, in the vineyard and in the winery. The result is a line of wines that are incredibly expressive and oh, so very delectable.
Today’s wine is guaranteed to please!
