Here’s what the wine press has to say:
93 points - “Sommelier to the Stars” Christopher Sawyer - “Classic high-elevation Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County. Made with fruit from the Verlander Vineyard on the rocky soils of Mayacamas Mountains east of Santa Rosa, this complex wine is immediately attractive with savory aromas of wild berries, violets, earth, fresh sage, and spearmint.
On the palate, the smooth texture and balanced tannins are wrapped around deep flavors of blackberry, dark cherry, chocolate, espresso beans, roasted nuts, savory spices, and a long, elegant finish that is gentle and rewarding.
Food pairings: Rich cheeses, eggplant parmesan, Ahi tuna with espresso rub, rosemary chicken, grilled pork, lamb sliders, beef bourguignon.”
