Mission Codename 30+6
Happy Sunday, and welcome to another Super Spy Sunday, dear Operative. Remember, every Sunday, I source an Elite level wine for your consideration - and I offer it up at 40-60% off.
Today’s SSS selection is a new discovery - from National Hockey League player Cam Ward and former player Tim Gleason, who formed their own team when they partnered with winemaker David Tate and former Tobacco Road Winery owner, Jason Earnest.
This wine was born of the winery’s vineyards in the Oakville and Stags Leap districts of the Napa Valley. These two appellations are regarded as two of the finest Cabernet districts in all of the Napa Valley.
Bold aromas leap from the glass to greet you on the nose. Blackberry, black cherry, cassis, darkly toasted oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, spice box, tobacco, supple leather, dark spice and a hint of flint.
Flavors cascade onto the palate in an elegant explosion of black cherry juice, blackberry & blueberry compote, plum, sweet tobacco leaf, spice box, toasty oak, subtle graphite and dark cedar.
This incredible wine is a great value at its original retail price. At today’s 61% off price, it is still somewhat pricey - when compared to our more usual pricing… but it is a real steal that we really encourage you to try.
