Mission Codename World's Greatest
We’re so happy to welcome Bonterra Vineyards back to our pages, with today’s showcase of their incredible 2007 The McNab Red Blend. This wine is one of the most expressive, concentrated, and delicious wines that we’ve ever tried from this winery that was named Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
Incredibly expressive and fragrant on the nose, with rich aromas of black cherry jam, blackberry perfume, dark red rose, red plum, blueberry, dark chocolate covered cherry, mission fig, dark spice, and leather. On the palate, this wine is rich and delicious, with concentrated flavors of blackberry juice, black cherry, blueberry compote, baker’s chocolate, coffee bean, vanilla, black rose, slate mineral, and mixed spice.
30-year-old Bonterra was named Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s own American Winery of the Year. They earned this distinction by producing some of the most consistently superb wines in America. Today’s perfectly aged, ready to drink, age-worthy marvel is evidence that Bonterra is one of the best wineries in the world!
This wine is perfectly aged and ready to drink. We think that its peak is still a few years away, so please be sure to grab enough to stash some away for later enjoyment.
