Very aromatic, with fragrances that leap from the glass, with grilled pineapple, golden delicious apple, Asian pear, mixed citrus, white flowers, white spice, walnut plank, and butter rum. Rich and layered, with flavors of mixed citrus, seared Meyer lemon slice, white peach, vanilla, butter rum, creamed honey, apricot, subtle white spice, subtle lychee, and a hint of toasty oak.
This wine is a delightfully silky, smooth and elegant Chardonnay, worthy of your holiday dining and entertaining. Enjoy with all of your fall festivities, with or without food. Pairs particularly with fish and fowl, and we recommend serving as an aperitif as well.
Tasting Profile
Look: | Medium golden hues, through a perfectly translucent body. Wine settles quickly when spun in the glass. |
---|---|
Smell: | Grilled pineapple, golden delicious apple, Asian pear, mixed citrus, white flowers, white spice, walnut plank, and butter rum. |
Taste: | Mixed citrus, seared Meyer lemon slice, white peach, vanilla, butter rum, creamed honey, apricot, subtle white spice, subtle lychee, and a hint of toasty oak. |
Finish: | After a silky entry, easy tannins grip in at the edges of the palate. This spreads inward to the center of the palate, drying as it moves. Eventually, the lips and cheeks are left with a plush dryness. |
Pairing: | Enjoy with classic Chardonnay pairings, like seafood, chicken, or pork dishes. We’ll enjoy this wine with our Fall favorites, like a roast turkey or lemony Brussels sprouts with bacon and rye breadcrumbs. |
