2015 Treasure Hunter Columbia Valley Wine:30 Chardonnay
Washington: Columbia Valley
Treasure the moment
Wow, what a wine this is!
Want to know a secret? Sometimes the most prestigious wineries sell off excess wine to wineries (like today’s!) that purchase the juice, bottle it, and sell it under their own label. We can’t tell you where today’s wine came from - but we can tell you that you are stealing it at today’s price!
We have a really good guess about who actually made this wonderful wine, but we’re not even allowed to tell you that! Once a spy has been sworn to secrecy, well, you know…
What a beautiful and inviting nose on this wine! Aromas abound, with fresh pear, green apple, white peach, custard, green fig, subtle orange peel and a hint of brioche. A bounty of deliciousness, with flavors of silky lemon custard, lemon curd, soft oak, dried lemon peel, vanillan, brioche and subtle white spice.
These Treasure Hunter wines are akin to buying an inexpensive box of Cracker Jack and finding a prize inside - but instead of a disappointing trinket, you find actual treasure!* Treasure Hunter covertly buys wine from some of the world’s best producers and then makes them available at an insanely great price.
Very highly recommended!
Light golden hues, perfect translucency through and through.
Fresh pear, green apple, white peach, custard, green fig, subtle orange peel and a hint of brioche.
Silky lemon custard, lemon curd, soft oak, dried lemon peel, vanillan, brioche and subtle white spice.
After a silky, buttery entry, citrus flavors coat the entire palate. As these fade, yeasty brioche and soft white spice make an appearance before they dwindle off slowly, leaving behind a soft dryness.
This lovely delight of a wine is great all on its own, but you can pair it with winter appetizers, fish, fowl or ham dishes.
