Mission Codename READY TO DRNK
Ryan Kunde, scion of Kunde Family Winery comes from a long family history of notable winemakers, and DRNK is his own incarnation of the family craft.
Clearly, this latest generation of winemaker has learned a thing or two from his forebears and added a few twists of his own because this wine is fantastic.
This Pinot Noir has a slightly translucent garnet core that spreads out to a vermilion lip. The wine has a very fragrant nose with red fruit and floral bouquet. Red licorice, raspberry, violets, ripe cherry plums and sandalwood can all be found. On the palate, a generous red fruited palate entry suggests strawberry compote highlighted with holiday brown spice seasoning. The mid-palate adds terroir driven mineral notes and cured meat. The finish seals the deal with fresh mouthwatering acidity and finishes clean and bone dry. Try pairing with a thick cut Coho Salmon steak glazed with a mandarin soy glaze and savory roasted root veggies.

Here’s what the wine press has to say.
93 Points & Gold Medal - North Coast Wine Challenge
92 Points - Neil Mechanic - “You will be hard-pressed to find as good an Anderson Valley Pinot in the current marketplace at this price. Plus, the wine is firing on all cylinders with lip-smacking red fruit and seductive spice undertones. The wine is showing better with a couple years of bottle age than when it was first released. Grab some while you can, because once you taste, you would have wished you ordered more.”
