This is our first time offering a wine from Red Mare winery and we’ve gotta say that we are very impressed by what winemaker Anne Vawter has been doing!

This Chardonnay has a nice clean straw color from edge to edge. Definite sur lee character of fresh french bread with complementary notes apple, golden raisin, and honey. Drinks like a classic chardonnay with flavors of melon, grass, and vanilla from the oak profile. It also has floral notes of honeysuckle and jasmine. The wine has a supple medium body with a round, voluminous mouthfeel that fades smoothly and slowly from the palate. A great wine to complement a cream based seafood dish such as shrimp scampi alla livornese.
