The wine has a beautiful golden straw color, with excellent clarity throughout. This Chardonnay has a superbly balanced nose, with both fresh fruit notes and malolactic character. There are aromas of apple, pear, satsuma with very subtle oak and grass. The wine’s barrel profile comes through more on the palate, with influences of toasted almond, butterscotch, marzipan and, vanilla as well as fruit flavor of apple and pear. The structure of the wine reflects the balance found on the nose. It is both bright and smooth, with a full and round mouthfeel from start to finish as it coats your palate with soft tannin. If you have a Chardonnay loving friends over, this is the perfect wine to get the party started with a plate of hors-d’oeuvres such as pesto-chevre stuffed bell pepper bites.
