Note: Today’s wine will sell out.
Happy Super Spy Sunday! Each Sunday we bring you a higher-end wine at a price that is difficult to resist. Today, we have a doozy for you…
Today’s Jettlynn 2014 Reserve Paso Robles Zinfandel is the juiciest, most lush, and extracted Zin that we’ve tasted all year. We absolutely adore this wine. We just wish that we had more of it to offer you. The moment we tasted this wine, we asked for every last case in existence. Unfortunately, only a handful remain, so we encourage you to reserve yours as quickly as you can.
This Zin is absolutely gorgeous with a crimson coloration and light occlusion with perfect consistency of color to the edge. Zin lovers will go nuts for this Paso homerun hitter with its nose of bramble, blackberry, plum compote, leather, tobacco, and hibiscus. On the palate the barrel spice, with lush vanillins and toasted coconut come to the fore, surrounded by ample fruit such as blackberry, black cherry, and cola. Wow! Exactly what you want out of a Zinfandel: It’s got huge fruit, slightly boozy, as one might expect from a Paso Zin, wonderful extraction with supple tannin. An iron fist in a velvet glove. True to form, this wine is made to be best friends with the grill. It would go particularly well with an applewood-smoked pulled-pork sandwich on a brioche bun with coleslaw.
