Mission Codename Red Beauty
We’ve been featuring the wines of Ty Caton since 2008. In that time, we’ve gotten to know Ty and his wonderful wines, which we would characterize as consistently delivering tremendous value, and a memorable drinking experience. Today’s 2016 Entycement Lodi Red Wine is an Ultra QPR delight that exceeds our expectations for quality and value!
Ty made a beautiful wine with its bright ruby core and lip that flashes brilliant magenta. The nose is aromatic and generally inviting with a hefty bouquet of fruit including ripe raspberries, boysenberry, plum and cherry, with subtle violets and vanilla. Just straight up tasty, it takes a dark turn with black cherry and black plum, potpourri with rich leather and dark chocolate nuances. Exceedingly well-balanced, this is exactly what you want from a red blend - A full, rich mouthfeel, ample silky tannin, robust fruit that sings straight through to the finish. Perfect for pasta night. Ravioli with a hearty bolognese would be out of this world.
Ty’s wines have been featured on Wine Spies nearly 30 times in these last 11+ years. We keep going back for more because we simply adore his wonderful wines. We feature Ty’s wines because his careful, studious approach always results in a well-crafted wine that delivers real value - and our Operatives have taken notice. Snap yours up before they’re all gone because this fan favorite will not last the day!
This special treat is offered to you with our heartiest recommendation.
