2014 Headwaters Napa Valley Red Wine
California: Napa Valley
One of the sweetest deals we have ever seen just got even sweeter…
Coho Wines Headwaters Napa Valley Red Wine have consistently been among our best selling red blends. In fact, prior vintage of this wine has been named our Top Red Blend of the Year. Will today’s 2014 vintage beat out previous offerings for the top spot? We think so, but you be the judge of this sumptuous blend.
This Napa blend is picture perfect in the glass with a dense garnet hue at its core with a thin ring of marmalade at the meniscus. From the bouquet alone this wine promises a well-balanced experience. Among its fragrant aromas, you can expect to find dried roses, brambles, cola, black cherry, and mocha. The mocha note becomes a creamy cappuccino, with toasty notes of caramel and roasted espresso. The fruit is expressive as well with cherry, fig, and juicy plum. This wine is silky smooth with incredibly lush and expressive tannin that supports a complex flavor profile that rolls across the palate for a finish that lasts for days. Wow! This would be ideal with a hearty bowl of linguine with arrabbiata sauce and pancetta. Salut!
This rich, hearty Merlot was made by one of Agent Red’s winemaking heroes, Philip Corallo-Titus. Wines from Philip’s namesake Titus label is how Agent Red came to be acquainted with the intricately detailed winemaking of mister Titus. You may know Philip Corallo-Titus from his two decades as winemaker of Chappellet and Titus.
