Mission Codename The F in the Find
Another Fantastic Fleury Find! You’ll recall our first Fleury Estate, their 2013 ‘F in Red’ was a roaring success and instantly became an Operative favorite leading us to explore other treasures we could unearth from the winery library for you. It is with utmost pride and pleasure that we present a cherrypicked selection, their flagship 100% Cabernet, the Lauren Bryce, that gracefully carries the name of their two beloved children, showcasing the absolute best they could put in the bottle. At a jaw-dropping 58% off deal, it’s a giveaway for prime, pure Napa Cabernet.
A gorgeous color, bright yet deep crimson turning mahogany near the edge. Dark and inviting aromatics with cassis, black plum, ripe cherry, and nutmeg concoct the broodingly deep nose. Fig and balsamic notes join black cherries as the silky tannins coat the mouth. Persistent, elegant and at peak drinkability with chocolate and white pepper notes lingering on the long, complex finish. The ultimate pairings range from red wine braised short ribs with wild mushrooms to an exotic eggplant moussaka.
Not only that, but the 2010 vintage was a LEGEND for Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, highly acclaimed as one of the best and a favorite of the past decades here at TWS. Furthermore, the Fleury Estate vineyard that provides the core of this wine is surrounded by the famous Beckstoffer Vineyards, and a stone’s throw away from highly acclaimed names such as Rutherford’s uber-cult Scarecrow (think $1,000+ per bottle territory) and Quintessa, and the St. Helena portion also comes from amongst such legendary properties.
