Mission Codename But Wait, There's More!
Furthermore does it again! Our Operatives have taken notice of this boutique Pinot Noir producer, and this Estate vineyard-designate from Graton Ridge Vineyard and have confirmed that this a doozy of a show stopper. Easily qualifying for 92 Points from the Wine Enthusiast, this is the epitome of the Russian River Valley appellation.
Furthermore is a labor of love, and after 10 years of devotion, partners Bob and Chad were able to buy their own vineyard in 2015. That vineyard is Graton Ridge, making this Estate wine the crown jewel of their line up, so don’t miss out.
This Pinot Noir is surprisingly dark in the glass with only a bit of light glinting through its crimson body. The perfumed nose is as different as it is sensational. Opulent aromas of wild raspberry, orange spice, terracotta, allspice, and saffron. On the palate it gets wild, hitting you with marmalade, bramble, boysenberry, nutmeg, and maraschino cherries. Wow. Bright and lively all the way through, its peppy acidity dances gracefully across the palate for a long finish. Perfect for a complex and savory dish, like ramen with pork belly.
What the wine press has to say:
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast “From the vineyard around the winery property near the town of Graton, this is a tart and tangy red, spiced and exuberantly layered in pomegranate, blood orange, and cranberry. With a twist of black licorice, it has tons of complex earthiness and a velvety smooth finish.” - Virginia Boone
