Mission Codename A Star is Born
The wines of Grand Napa are among our most popular. In 2018, we debuted their more budget-friendly Calculated Risk label - and another star was born. Calculated risk wines come from vineyards that are so Top Secret that we’ve had to swear not to reveal their source. Just know that you’re getting a very exceptional deal.
Today, we are very happy to present to you their latest label, Calculated Risk. These are wines that are sourced from vineyards that cannot be disclosed. Vineyards whose wines are almost always priced at $100 or more. We’re so good at keeping a secret that Grand Napa trusted us with this new label. Our discretion is your great reward.
This medium-density Napa red is a deep garnet at the center, spreading out to a brighter vermilion color. The bouquet is immediately enticing with ripe raspberry notes deeply integrated with oak casting off notes of sandalwood, acacia, caramel, and vanilla. The flavor profile is equally replete with fresh fruit notes of strawberry, raspberry, and boysenberry with more mature notes of fig and rhubarb. This wine is constructed putting the emphasis, as any good red blend does, on complex fruit character under-girded by balanced tannin and acid structure. This tasty wine could do the trick for more challenging pairings such as a homemade pesto pasta with fresh basil.
Grab today’s wine, and you’ll be the star at your next gathering or elegant dinner.
