Mission Codename Dancing Queen
“Mamma Mia!” I interjected when our buddy at Bonneau convincingly explained that ABBA the band owns this vineyard. He was joking of course, but gullible me believed him because this rosé dances on the palate all night. It prances and bounces all over, just the same way you can’t sit still when ABBA is blasting! And why not?
Why could Agnetha, Benny, Björn and Anni-Frid not have invested a tiny fraction of their massive wealth in a Grenache vineyard in Lodi to make a rosé?!
A pale salmon with an intriguing copper edge, and flamingo pink feathers emerge imaginatively in the light. Strawberry and pomegranate dominate the perfume on the inviting nose with a hint of white pepper. Juicy watermelon, mango, grapefruit, and nectarine build the richly fruited palate to a peak burst of deliciousness. The finish is long with fruit and spice comingling, wonderfully vivid with freshness and appeal. Pair with prosciutto & melon, grilled prawn & pineapple skewers, or bacon-wrapped dates.
Agent Noir’s disco fantasies with the band that he grew up with aside, the Abba family has been growing wine grapes in Lodi long before the 1970s, since the 1940s as a matter of fact. Sustainably farmed, it remains one of the prime addresses for the healthiest vineyards growing pristine fruit in Lodi. With 40% savings, now all you need to do is act quickly, move things around in your fridge and fall pantry and stock up!
We asked winery owner and winemaker, John Bambury is there was a specific experience in his life that inspired his love of wine. He replied by saying, “I’ve always been interested in cooking & making recipes better. I took that philosophy to my winemaking endeavors. I’m meticulous about growing grapes, optimizing harvest & sorting fruit for superior quality. The rest of the program involves doting over the soak, fermentation & aging process to make sure the best qualities of the fruit is emphasized.” John’s skill as a winemaker shines through in this irresistible rosé thanks to the irresistible deal we were able to secure for you.
