Ty makes some dead-serious Cabs from his storied estate hillside vineyard high atop the Mayacamas range in the Moon Mountain District. His Cabernet Collection is extremely focused and small, with just 2-8 barrels total production for each one. He focuses on specific blocks within his vineyards - these are essentially vineyard designates within vineyard designates, designed to showcase the unique character of each microclimate, clone, and its distinctive terroir. We’re quite sure if these came from the Napa side of the mountain, the prices would be 2-3x as high!

What shocks us further is how unique each of these Cabs actually is, though the Arroyo by perhaps the tiniest margin is one of his most compelling offerings…EVER. If you enjoy his wines, you’ll go wild for this one. Certainly NOT a wine for the meek or mild-mannered. This is INKY and dark, loud and wild - a thrash metal, brain-melting riff on Cabernet. Saturating and deep flavors of blackberry jam and ripe black cherry coat the palate with deft use of oak that is complementing rather than overpowering. All three share a deeply hedonistic side, with abundant dark chocolate, a touch of menthol, and cedar, mixed with damp earth. Chalky, fine-grained tannins make their presence known, suggesting years of development if you have the patience. But why wait! They’re absolutely rocking right now.
