The wines are stunning and the prices are realistic for what is in the bottle. These debut offerings from Morgado Cellars should be given considerable attention by readers. The 2012 Pinot Noir was fashioned from the Calera clone. Its deep, dark ruby hue is followed by notes of black fruits, earth and forest, beautiful opulence, decent acidity and ripe tannin. This is a lush, heady, hedonistically and intellectually satisfying, full-bodied Pinot Noir to drink over the next 7-8 years. Drink 2015-2023.”
