Mission Briefing
Our Hero
Today fellow Zinfandel Senpai, is YOUR day. Powerful, polished, single-vineyard old vine Zin from our old favorite Miro - at 40% OFF!
Miro Cellars is a low key winery in Sonoma pioneered by Bulgarian Miro Tcholakov. He came to Napa to work a harvest in 1990 which spurred a nine-year position at Dry Creek Vineyard where he moved up to Assistant Winemaker. Today he still works for Trentadue Winery but does his own thing on the side, a small passion project if you will. We’ve been lucky enough to get on his good side, and he hooks up wildly delicious deals like this.
One taste of this sensational old vine superfruit bomb Zinfandel will have your body gyrating and twisting like you just let the tastiest Phish jam infiltrate your being. The warm berry pie. The copious amounts of sweet fig jam and all manner of blackberry, boysenberry, and cherry packed in there. Baking spices. Mexican chocolate - or was that Nutella? It’s all wrapped up in a big, dense, delicious structure just waiting for you to enjoy with a grilled burger/steak/ribs or whatever you’re cooking up this summer.
Move real quick like to snag a few of these. Lush, hedonistic Zin never lasts long around here!
Here’s what the wine press has to say.

Tasting Profile
Look: | With all the opalescence of an actual ruby, this Zin flashes with crimson and magenta as it catches the light. |
---|---|
Smell: | Blackberry, boysenberry, cherry, rum raisin, toasty vanilla, bramble, earth and warm chocolate. |
Taste: | Waves of fresh berry and spice. Potpourri, Mexican chocolate, fig and gingerbread. |
Finish: | It’s as though a DJ pushed every slider up to 10 - It’s very well-balanced with A LOT of everything. |
Pairing: | A Santa Maria style tritip with the edges blackened would be the perfect companion. |
