Mission Codename Palate Twister

Physicists recently announced we might be living in a multiverse - where many similar yet different universes like our own exist. THIS must come from one of those, where the value of a dollar is much cheaper. It’s called Metal Bender but the only thing bending is our mind after tasting it. WOW. Sometimes when we taste a wine we know we have an instant hit on our hands, and this is most definitely, without a doubt, 100% one of those wines.

The Stringer family comes from a manufacturing background in metalworking - stamps, machinery, metal fabrication. Hence the name, “Metal Bender”. Casey Stringer caught the wine bug on a chance visit to Napa Valley. He needed to scratch that itch and left Wisconsin to go to college in Santa Barbara. From there he worked at a range of great wineries - Robert Sinskey in Napa, Archery Summit in Oregon, numerous wineries in New Zealand where he took up a formal winemaking education, and finally at cult winery Jonata, that shares ownership with Screaming Eagle! Today he and his wife, along with their two boys make small batches.

This is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petite Sirah and 10% Syrah. It carries a “California” designation, while the fruit comes from some dead serious vineyards in the state. Check it out - the Cabernet, which makes up more than 2/3 of the blend, is from none other than legendary Napa vineyards Beckstoffer Georges III in Rutherford and Stagecoach on Pritchard Hill, with Petite Sirah from Madrigal in Calistoga and Murray Ranch in Sonoma Valley, and Syrah from Harrison Clarke in Ballard Canyon of Santa Barbara. Make no mistake - this has ALL the imprints of a world-class wine.

Open the bottle and prepare for a rollicking, rich, berry basket of flavor. Inky and dark, it over-delivers in a HUGE way. Dense and packed with all manner of blueberry pie, blackberry jam, and sweet vanilla it has a super soft glycerin texture that coats every nook and cranny of your palate. The tannins are soft and sexy. The fruit is big and bomb-y. The joy it induces is real. This drinks WAY above its price point and served blind you could easily guess it cost $60+.

Occasionally we get flooded with emails begging for more of a wine we sold… and that will happen here. We barely got enough for this offer so don’t miss your chance!!
