Mission Codename Cupid's arrow
ALERT: Valentine’s Day is just 2 weeks out!
So, how Deep IS Your Love?
Too deep to show? Think again.
There’s NOTHING that can say I ADORE YOU like a bottle of Champagne, the Amour kind.
Really. Nothing.
Partially because Deutz, as under the radar as it may be amongst the prestigious Champagne houses, is the sister property to Louis Roederer, and the Amour to them is what Cristal is to Roederer - their Tête de Cuvée - representing the absolute best of a vintage they were able to grow, in the case of 2011 from Avize, Le Mesnil, Oger, Villeneuve, Vertus, and Villers-Marmery.
Hear us, and Galloni of Vinous out, who says “I was quite impressed with the wines I tasted from Deutz… all of these wines deserve attention. The Deutz style is best described as classic… impeccably made and absolutely delicious.”
Delicious does not even begin to describe what awaits in a glass of this 100% pure Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs. Brioche, lemon rind, dried pear, smoke, crystallized ginger, almonds, and jasmine, are laced with striking depth and resonance. Like love, it starts subtly, seemingly out of nowhere, and builds up to a finish that just does not want to quit. Feels eternal, or at least you want it to be so.
Grab what you can, from the 42 bottles we were allocated. Then take your time, on the day of, and melt some Valrhona baking chocolate to dip the freshest organic berries money can buy, DON’T get the ready-made stuff, and even more importantly, just don’t tell them you paid the BEST PRICE on earth for Amour, trust us on that.
Share the LOVE!

“A mature Champagne from a great vintage year, this is concentrated. With toast over the white fruits and with minerality still very present, the wine is taut, textured, vibrant, and ready to drink.”
