We tasted the entire lineup of Jacob Richards’ wines recently. A new producer for us, and we really loved every one of the wines. But the high-water mark was this, their flagship, estate-grown powerhouse. This small producer has George Bursick at the winemaking helm. He graduated in the same UC Davis class of ‘76 which produced a star-studded class of winemakers - Kathy Corison, Paul Hobbs, John Konsgaard, David Ramey to name a few. His experience includes helping craft Ferrari-Carano’s Chardonnay which took the #1 spot in Wine Spectator’s 1987 awards. And he works closely with Jean Hoefliger, who as you probably know has shaped MANY high-scoring wines himself.
The “Partners Reserve” wine is the best of the best. Straight from the St. Helena vineyard, and it’s a magnificent specimen. Rich and expansive but never syrupy or heavy. A perfect example of that hedonistic, powerful style we love from great Napa Cabs. Packed with purply black fruit, violets, mulberries, anise, and expensive tasting French oak. It hits all the right notes. And the best part, you can share it with your friends, and they don’t need to know you paid a dollar less than the $150 winery price.
You must realize what a knee-buckling deal this is by now. A sure bet to sell out quickly. Get some while it lasts…
