Mission Codename DJ... turn it up!
Pow! Wham! Zap! Bam!
That was our collective minds, blown to pieces after the first sip. An even better remix than Elton John x Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart” - and that’s hard to top.
It was magical and THEN we saw the price and it was simply a must have Locker stocker at $25.
A totally unique, off-the-meter delicious Bordeaux red done with California flair. It imprints on your mind, body and soul in a deep way. Maybe it has to do with the gnarly old vines powering it (first planted all the way in 1942!).
Master Sommelier Willi Sherer made something really special here. He’s an OG Master Somm and formerly worked at your Agent’s favorite bygone restaurant in Yountville - Redd (miss those pork belly bao!) This is a veteran of the wine industry who knows some of the highest quality wines in the world, bringing you the deal of a lifetime! OG Ops may recall that a couple of years ago the white Remix took up our site by storm and we’ve been begging since for another run, persistent pays!
Dark cherry fruit, cedar, and touches of rosemary fill the nose. This is juicy and jammy with a perfectly balanced structure. Think old vine red blend made up of mostly Merlot with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Verdot thrown in to up the complexity.
The Merlot entirely comes from one of the pioneers of organics up in Mendocino’s pristine Redwood Valley, the Cabernets are all from Napa Valley, undisclosed top vineyard sources that only a top Somm can have access to when sworn to secrecy. The wine offers cassis, tobacco, and herbs galore on this bad boy with lush tannins and well-rounded acidity.
Seriously, get more than you think you should. We already raided a few cases for our own stashes. This is a seriously good “cellar protector” type bargain that you’ll happily pull out again and again without thinking hard, given you jumped on it early and fast as quantities, and its price, are teeny tiny.
