Mission Codename Heaven Scent
Scott Harvey’s Cabernets have always remained elusive for us. He simply doesn’t produce very much Cabernet and so, when we’ve asked (okay, pleaded) for a Cab that we could share with our Operatives, we were always politely turned down.
We have a very special treat for you today! It has been 7 years since we were last able to get ahold of one of Scott Harvey’s flagship Jana Cathedral Napa Valley wine. Back then, it was a Jana Zin… but today we have Scott’s 2013 Jana Cathedral Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - at a very special price.
Dense, fragrant and full on the nose, with blackberry, blueberry cobbler, sweet spice, sweet tobacco, subtle bay laurel leaf and dark chocolate. Juicy and richly layered on the palate, with flavors of blackberry juice, black cherry, cassis, flinty mineral, baker’s chocolate, plum and subtle spice box.
We first came to know Scott and Jana Harvey back in 2008. Our first visit with them, a decade ago, was eye-opening - and palate expanding. Scott’s wines blew us away. His Amador county Zinfandels were among the best we had tried. They still are.
Take advantage of Scott’s finest - and prepare to be impressed.
